What are stretch marks?
Stretch marks are idented streak-like scars that appear on various places on the body but are most commonly found on areas that store fat, such as the breats, thighs and the stomach. Stretch marks can take reddish pink appearance when they are newer and tend to go white or silver as they mature.
What causes stretch marks?
Stretch marks occur when the skin stretches or shrinks too rapidly. The abrupt change causes the collagen and elastin fibres, which support the skin, to disrupt. As the skin heals, scar tissue forms into stretch marks. Anyone can develop stretch marks at any age, although stretch marks are more common in women and during puberty.
How to remove stretch marks?
