COOLSCULPTING ELITE

During treatment, a targeted pocket of fat is suctioned into the cavity of the handpiece and cooled until it reaches a specific temperature to destroy the fat cells. These cells are then naturally metabolised through the lymphatic system and naturally removed from the body.

Results can usually be seen 6 weeks after treatment, but the real magic takes a little longer – 8-12 weeks in total.

The CoolSculpting fat-reduction procedure is specially designed for People who have unwanted fat in targeted areas. CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss solution for people who are over weight. Good candidates for CoolSculpting^®  have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. It is ideal for people who want a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

CoolSculpting is not suitable for people who suffer from cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria. It is also not a treatment for obesity. During your initial consultation,  we will discuss your medical history, assess you and assess if you are a suitable candidate.

Most people need two or more sessions.  With each treatment, you can expect to between 20% to 30% of the fat.  Therefore, to get a significant improvement,  we highly recommend at least two sessions.  Another factor to take in to consideration is how much fat there to begin with, as well as your goals.

Each treatment takes 35 minutes.  Depending on how many areas you would like to treat, appointments can be anywhere from an hour to tree hours.

The dedicated room is private, comfortable and has a smart TV so you can catch up on any shows on demand.  Or if you’d prefer you can read or even take a nap!

As with all aesthetic procedures, there may be some side effects after your treatment. These include: temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching or skin sensitivity. These are only temporary side effects and will subside within days or weeks.

Fat freezing is suitable for treating stubborn areas of fat that are hard to shift through diet and exercise alone. These areas are commonly known as saddle bags, muffin tops, love handles, bra bulges, double chins, bingo wings, flabby knees and post pregnancy tummies.

Coolsculpting Elite can be a form of permanent fat reduction, as long as you maintain a sensible diet and lifestyle after treatment. Poor diet, lack of exercise or hormonal changes may affect long term results. If weight gain occurs, a maintenance treatment may be advisable.

You will need anywhere between 1-3 treatments. Each treatment will eliminate up to 60% of the fat cells that fit in to the pocket of the handpiece. Therefore, it depends on how much fat there is to begin with. Also, as you’d expect, everybody responds differently to the treatment.

Results can be visible from 4-6 weeks, but it takes 8-12 weeks to see the final result.

It can be uncomfortable for some people. For the first 10 minutes, you may feel a stinging sensation which then subsides as the area becomes numb. Then, for the remaining 60 minutes you’ll be pain free. When the handpieces are removed, there can be discomfort for around 10 minutes.

There is no downtime. You can resume your daily activities immediately afterwards.
