Often one treatment is enough. The results develop over three months and will peak at 3 months and continue to improve for up to 6 months. 3 months following your treatment, we will carry out a review to assess your results. Most people achieve achieve a dramatic result with one treatment. However, others may require two treatments depending on age, degree of skin laxity and your goals. During your initial consultation, we will recommend the appropriate treatment program with you.

Most people leave their appointment with no downtime. Some people experience slight redness but this usually subsides within a few hours. You can put makeup on immediately after without the risk of infection.

Sofwave is suitable for the face and body. With the face, you can choose to treat the entire face and neck, or you can focus on specific areas, such as the lower face to address the nasal labial folds, Marionette lines, the jawline to lift jowls and skin under the chin.  Or just the upper face to lift the brow and eyelids and tighten skin under the eyes.
On the body, suitable areas are the abdomen, arms and thighs. Sofwave is very powerful for tightening crepey skin after weight loss or pregnancy.
We always recommend a consultation first to make sure you are a suitable candidate and to give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect.

Often people can see results immediately after. The results will continue to improve over the next 3 months.

Results last for 12-18 months.  Maintenance treatments are necessary. We recommend annual maintenance treatments.

The results can last up to 18 months. Annual maintenance treatments required to prolong the benefits.

Sofwave is suitable for people who have skin laxity:

Most appointments last 90 minutes to two hours depending on the area you are treating.  The topical numbing cream will take 45-60 minutes.

For the full face. your appointment will take up to two hours
For the face and neck, your appointment will at least two hours.
For lower face, your appointment will take around 90 minutes.
On the body:
Between 90 minutes to two and a half hours.

Most people find Sofwave to be a tolerable treatment.  Most people prefer to have topical numbing cream applied beforehand which helps with the discomfort.  There can be a pinch sensation with heat.  It is a similar sensation to IPL.

• Redness (Erythema): Immediately after the treatment, it is very common to be red or flushed.  This usually fades within 1-4 hours.
• Swelling (Edema): Some people experience mild swelling, particularly around the jawline or under the chin. This generally dissipates within 1-3 days.
• Tenderness & Soreness: The treated area may feel tender or tight when touched.
• Sensations of Warmth: A warming or tingling sensation in the skin may occur during or shortly after the session

People who have any of the following criteria can not have Sofwave:
• Pregnant
• Breast feeding
• Open wounds / lesions / severe or cystic acne at the treatment area
• Implanted electrical medical devices (eg. Pacemaker)
• Large metal implants in the treated area

• History of Bell’s Palsy
• Under 18 years of age
